Do you wonder about the United Kingdom’s near fetish for hating trans people, as well as its historical revisionism about their role in slavery? Worried about what this foretells for so-called North America’s future?

I have a new series called Tales of TERF Island1, where I will also not only be covering TERFS (Trans-Exclusive Radical Feminists) but also the UK’s historical revisionism on its legacies of genocide in the British Empire. While the UK is Ground Zero in transphobia, I also wanted to mention its deep origins of transphobia in colonialism, with some thanks to the field of Trans Studies, in particular, Colby Gordon for introducing me to trans studies theorists in the Early Modern Trans Studies class. I also want to connect TERF Island to not only imperialism but also ableism and racism as other legacies of imperialism that British people do not want to fully confront. Be prepared for essays about not only historical and contemporary figures, but also about murder mysteries (Midsomer Murders, Vera and the Bernie Gunter Mysteries), statues, protests, imperialism, and plays. One thing I know for certain is that British people love plays. If you have any topic suggestions, feel free to DM me.

So our first series is about a transphobe is one of the more “average” TERFS. He’s dabbled in not only transphobic jokes but also anti-Semitic and racist jokes on Twitter, as well as a really bad movie, called “My Son Hunter” (take a wild guess what the plot is about). But before all this, he was an actor, most notably for me in the murder mystery Lewis as Sergeant James Hathaway.

We are talking about Laurence Fox. Prepare yourself accordingly for what happens when a rich middle-aged man gets divorced and goes down some alarming rabbit holes on the Internet. Oh yeah, and 1917 shows up in this (no spoilers for the movie!) The first part is coming soon.
